July Meeting 2011
6th of July Club night
The next Meeting of the Manawatu Amateur Radio Society is
on: Wednesday the 6th of July
at: the club rooms in Totara Road.
This is an open invitation to anyone interested to come along weather your are interested in radio or belong to a radio club or not, as the Manawatu Amateur Radio Society (MARS) monthly meetings are open for anyone to attend.
Our guests for the evening of the 6th is the Army, their presentation will include:
- An introduction to Royal New Zealand Signals (past and present)
- Introduction to their HF Radio including:
- 3G ALE (includes Link Quality Analysis)
- VHF Capability
- Data transfer, email, txt, jpeg.
- Antenna systems.
- There will be transmitting equipment equipment to look at including a Pinzgauer fitted for comms
Supper will be provided.
This will be the start of an ongoing relationship with the Army, activities will be announced in the future, if you are not a member of the Manawatu Amateur Radio Society (MARS) I encourage you to subscribe to the free monthly newsletter to recieve these announcements on what is happening.
