The UHF- VHF Field Day's 2010-Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th December 2010

Yes we are planning to have a go again, we have had very good success and provided good to excellent coverage to the areas were there was activity.

We are wanting helpers for running the radios, bbq and over things.

We have drive on access (4WD a must)  up Takapari Road in the Ruahine ranges.that allowed us to take good sized aerials and a generator.

We operated on 6m, 2m, and 70cm.

As this year we are hoping to have a great time and have a BBQ tea up there.

If you are not able to help on site, we would very much like to get QSO’s from you each hour during the operating period.  The Takapari Road site will have good coverage into Manawatu, Dannevirke, Hawkes Bay.  Additional coverage to the majority of the lower the North Island and the tip of the South, additional coverage to DX stations with beams and hilltops will be possible.

When: Saturday  4th 1700 to 2300 and Sunday 5th 0700 to 1300 local time.   Once an hour per band.

Location: -40.090155,176.02664 at Takapari Rd Aprs fi

Where:  On simplex, FM and SSB.  FM will be vertical and SSB will be Horizontal polarization,  We will be listening on the frequencies below.

50.150   MHz USB

146.475  MHz FM

144.200  MHz SSB

432.5      MHz FM

1296.5 GHz

So come up on simplex and give us a call.

You never know you might get to work some VHF DX as well.
