REMINDER VHF-UHF-SHF CONTEST RULES
http://www.vhf.org.nz/VHF-UHF-SHF-Contest
Rules Contestants are reminded that Contest operations must fully comply with the General User Radio Licence (GURL) for Amateur Radio Operators (ARO), dated July 2010, and with the Contest Rules, otherwise penalties will be applied at the sole discretion of the Contest Committee. All stations will be advised of the discrepancies and of the penalties applied. 6 METRE BAND (51 to 53 MHz). The Amateur Radio Operators GURL does not permit operation between 50 and 51 MHz. All 6 metre permits, for operation between 50 and 51 MHz, were cancelled in October 1995. After that date the Ministry introduced a “6 Metre Contract”. Please refer to page 16 of October 1995 Break-In for details. Contest operation between 50 and 51 MHz must comply with all of the conditions of the particular 6 Metre Contract. The Contest Committee may request a copy of the 6 Metre Contract. LOG KEEPING Log entries must be complete and accurate. Log entries are compared with the entry in the log submitted by the station being worked and points deducted, or other penalties applied, for discrepancies. MULTIPLIERS Score Multipliers apply to the operating condition of the station submitting the Contest Log, not to the operating condition of the station being worked.
