Nine Manawatu AREC Members participated in the local SAR Ex with 4 lost persons being found. Four portable repeaters were deployed to provide radio coverage for the search area.

Six AREC members participated in the annual Palmerston North Land Search and Rescue Quiz Night, split between 2 teams and placing 3rd and 4th place.

This month's AREC training was focused on using ropes and learning knots we might use to hold poles up and a shelter together.
