SAR Ex – 4th/5th/6th July 2025
Nine Manawatu AREC Members participated in the local SAR Ex with 4 lost persons being found. Four portable repeaters were deployed to provide radio coverage for the search area.

Damon ZL1ELC gave a good presentation of the recent telemetry network upgrades for monitoring the environmental data in the Horizons Region following Cyclone Gabrielle.

SAR Quiz Night – Wednesday 11th June 2025
Six AREC members participated in the annual Palmerston North Land Search and Rescue Quiz Night, split between 2 teams and placing 3rd and 4th place.
